Lael Fredsell

Director of Food & Beverage Programs

 

Lael (pronounced lay-ul) knew he wanted to be in the Food and Beverage Industry ever since he could legally work. His first job was with one of Atlanta’s top catering companies, where he not only worked his way through school, he also worked his way up from dish washer to Event Manager, overseeing some of Atlanta’s most high-profile events. 

Lael has been with GUMBO Marketing for seven years. His problem-solving skills, attention to detail and resourcefulness propelled him to the #2 spot in the company. In this position, he oversees the vast majority of our experiential programs, from planning to event management.  He is beloved by Food & Beverage professionals, who often reach out to him with time-sensitive issues, which is why they call him GUMBO’s “get it done” guy. 

Lael turned 21 years old during the birth of the craft cocktail movement. The rich history and traditions continue to be a source of inspiration for him, and both his mixology skills and his impressive knowledge of the subject make his insights highly prized by premium spirits brands such as Woodford Reserve, Fernet Branca, Carpano Antica Formula and Grey Goose.
